US Department of Justice CTO Jeremy Warren Joins 2GIG Technologies(R) as CTO

LAS VEGAS, NV – April 07, 2011 (Marketwire News) – In a major public to private sector move, Jeremy Warren, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the United States Department of Justice, has been hired as the new CTO of 2GIG Technologies, the Carlsbad, CA-based developer of home security and related systems. “We are fortunate to have one of the top federal technology executives coming to work for us at a time of major expansion and innovation at 2GIG,” states Todd Santiago, President.

As the CTO of the U. S. Department of Justice, Warren’s responsibilities included: formulating the Department’s technology strategy; providing technology expertise in program oversight and other contexts; performing research, evaluations, and proofs-of-concept; and serving as a coordinator of all aspects of the Department’s technical architecture.

As part of his duties, Mr. Warren oversaw the technical aspects of the development and implementation of the Department’s Law Enforcement Information Sharing Program (LEISP), which includes initiatives such as N-DEx, OneDOJ, NIEM, and LEXS.

Before coming to the government, Warren was Chief Architect of Lavastorm Technologies of Boston, MA, providing revenue assurance products to top-tier telecommunications companies. At Lavastorm, Mr. Warren focused on rules-based processing systems and large-scale data mining and statistical analysis. He studied Computer Science Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
